I know, I know. From the picture here it looks like I’m looking for tunafish inside the refrigerator. All right. I admit it. I WAS looking for tuna this morning for breakfast. But that was before I headed to the computer to write.
Now that I’m back to work, I thought I’d let you know that I’m currently on the lookout for an agent. Not just any agent, mind you. I don’t want to take a random shot in the dark. That would be a cat-astrophe. I’m looking specifically for an agent who represents picture books.
The problem is, not many agents represent picture books. So the first thing I’ve done is put together this great list of picture book agents from all the notes I’ve been collecting and also names that some of my writer friends have given me. You can find the list by clicking on this link for Picture Book Agents.
Why do I want an agent? It’s because for years I’ve been learning how to write picture books. And now I have some fun picture books that lots of kittens will want to read that I think are purr-fect for today’s market. I want to sell them to the big houses. And the big houses only take agented submissions.
So I need a picture book agent. It’s the cat’s meow!
